Thou shalt not steal

The internet has given us a giant library of information, images and video at our fingertips. We are encouraged through social media to share, share, share. But sharing is not the same as appropriating content and passing it off as your own.

Just because an image or content is online it doesn’t make it “free for the taking.” Every image and piece of content is protected in some way unless the copyright owner has released it to the public domain or issued a CC0 license. This post from Hubspot gives you examples to help you cite sources in blogs posts and content assets. And for information on how to find images online for your blog posts, check out our guide for finding and using images online.
