You get what you pay for. Nothing is ever really “free”.

It’s important to understand what “free” means for each website service company. Often times, there are different service levels available, the lowest of which is “free”.

Free websites often load much slower, may have an unprofessional web address, and can actually negatively impact your website’s SEO ranking over time due to poor linking strategies, low credibility among users, unresponsive design, and more.

In addition, “free” services sometimes (often) end after a specific amount of time, or a trial period. If this is the case, you may spend a lot of time and effort building a website, only to find that after 30 days (or the length of the trial period), it is no longer free.
