The ROI of social media marketing has been a controversial topic for some time. However, it turns out that social media is good for business. (Thumbs up)
Whether you like it or not, people are spending insane amounts of time on social media. According to a recent article on Social Media Today, “Teens now spend up to nine hours a day on social platforms, while 30% of all time spent online is now allocated to social media interaction.”
What are they doing? Reading blogs, filling out forms, engaging with brands, watching videos, and just plain absorbing a ton of content. In fact, Gartner research indicates that by 2020, “customers will manage 85% of their relationship with a business without talking to a human being.”
How will they do this? Through social media, and other digital communication platforms. However, if your business isn’t participating in the conversation, then your customers are likely to seek out a company that is.
