Facebook is making changes. Whodathunkit?
In response to recent election concerns that Russia used Facebook ads to influence results, Facebook will be increasing transparency around ads.
Next month, the new transparency features go live, starting in Canada. This will allow users to go to a brand or company page and “View Ads” to see all ads that page is currently running, regardless of ad targeting.
Political advertisers may notice the most change as their ads will also include a full archive as well as ad spend amounts.
We aren’t sure yet how this will impact pages and how they use their advertising. But it will be worth keeping an eye on as these features roll out.
