In early October, Google announced that over 50% of all Google queries worldwide are now coming from mobile devices.
What does this mean? That users are now spending more time searching online using their mobile devices rather than desktop or laptop computers and that now is a great time to make your site mobile friendly.
Google already rolled out a mobile-friendly update in April 2015 whereby they began boosting the ranking of mobile-friendly pages on mobile search results. This means that if a user is searching on a mobile device, like so many more are, then mobile-friendly sites are more likely to appear in their search results. If your site is not mobile friendly, it is increasingly less likely to be found by a mobile searcher in the search results.
This is a big change that has major impact on the digital landscape as we know it. This is not a trend, this is an evolutionary shift and you must stay ahead of it in order to stay ahead of your competitors online.
