Marketing Automation is becoming more accessible

Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot and Sharpspring are some of the big names in marketing automation software. But you don’t necessarily need to invest in these complex solutions  to implement marketing automation for your business.

Recently, Aweber announced an expansion of its marketing automation tools as part of it’s offerings. As part of an email marketing service, these new tools allow users to create timed and automated emails based on behaviors and actions in addition to the traditional segmenting they have already been doing.

Subscribers can be flagged for automated follow-up such as thank you messages for purchases or abandoned cart emails or birthday messages.

These emails can create better communication between a business and subscriber as well as deliver more personalized messaging.

As more email marketing systems begin adding marketing automation features, businesses will have more options for their automation strategy. No longer will they need to choose between strapping together disparate solutions or spending a fairly heft monthly fee. Instead, businesses, especially those with smaller subscriber databases, will be able to take advantage of lower cost solutions that are beginning to recognize the importance of marketing automation and continue to develop and offer more features such as Mailchimp’s recent addition of landing pages or their free automation tools.
