Visual content is becoming the norm, because text only is, well, boring!

If you’re serving your audience text, text, and more text, they are going to get bored. Would you have clicked on this topic if we hadn’t included a photo? (Probably not.)

While it’s true that some topics lend themselves to visual accents more than others, something is always better than nothing. And, if you’re not consistently giving your audience visual content, other businesses will.

What kind of photos are most popular? According to a recent Venngage survey of 300 online marketing professionals, 35% use stock photos.

However, this same survey indicated that infographics generated the highest levels of engagement. (Their survey is strategically in the form of an infographic…)
