Did you know…businesses can create posts directly from their Google My Business account?
These small, no-more-than-300-word updates allow you to promote specials and events or to make other announcements which show up in both search and Google Maps results.
Originally, Google Posts was launched as “Candidate Cards” in 2016 and was only available to political candidates. However, Google has rolled out Google posts to all small businesses using Google My Business (GMB).
Comprised of an image, text and even a call to action, Google Posts allow businesses to connect with customers and potential customers within their search, giving them an easy path to claim an offer or make a purchase. Of note, like social media Stories on Facebook and Instagram, these posts are fleeting and expire seven days after posting them.
