Facebook’s Declining Organic Reach

by | Apr 26, 2017 | Content Marketing | 0 comments

Facebook’s algorithm changes over the past few years have made it more difficult for business pages to extend their reach organically. But there are things you can do without buying ads.

According to Sophia Bernazzani of Hubspot, who explains these changes and how the News Feed algorithm works, there are steps you can take to combat your declining organic reach which don’t necessarily require you to pay for ads and boosted posts.

Two of those steps involve educating your fans.

First, remind fans that they can easily access all the pages they have liked via the “Pages” link in their left sidebar. They can also access a “Pages Feed” which contains updates from their “liked” pages.

Second, instruct them on how to change their notification settings. This allows them to prioritize your posts in their feed.

You could include how-to information in a post pinned to the top of your page as a reminder to both new and returning followers.
