Whether you’re just getting started with email marketing, or you’re looking to improve your open and conversion rates, there are a few things you should keep in mind.

Obviously, you aren’t sending email marketing campaigns for the fun of it. You’re investing time, money, and effort into creating strategic email campaigns, so you want them to get opened, and read, naturally.

First things first: If you don’t have a business email address, you need one, STAT. If you’re sending a business email campaign with a Gmail, Yahoo or AOL account, that’s your first mistake. Before you go any further, get yourself a domain email.

In addition to using a business domain for your reply email address, it’s also recommended to use a “From” name that your subscribers will recognize. Keep it as simple and direct as possible.
