More people are adopting Facebook’s Messenger for communication with businesses. But that doesn’t mean you should abandon email to reach customers and prospects.
Using Messenger alongside email can make sense, provided the tools are chosen based on goals and needs. For example, a lengthy message might be better suited to email whereas messenger can be used for quick “chats.”
Additionally, email and messenger can be perceived as two different types of communication. According to Hubspot, email can be seen as “talking to you,” while Messenger can be seen as “chatting with you.”
Ultimately, it’s best to let your audience decide how to engage with you. It’s possible some of your audience even wants to receive the same information via both Messenger and email.
