Everyone makes mistakes, but when it comes to branding strategy, here are a few that may send potential customers running for the hills.

  1. Inconsistency. Is your brand slightly different on every platform or channel? This makes your company look like it doesn’t know what it’s doing, or worse, like they just don’t care.]
  2. Too Much Focus on Design Trends. Yes, new design trends are cool, and it’s important to have a modern look. However, it’s important not to get too wrapped up in the latest design fad, as it might not be cool next week, and you’ll be back to the drawing board.
  3. Getting Off Track. Redesigning or updating your brand is a great idea. But remember, if your current audience seems to like what you’re doing, don’t go so crazy that they don’t recognize you after your rebrand or redesign.
