Creating a Brand

Brand development can be hard. There are a lot of things to think about besides your logo.

Before you hire a designer to develop that perfect logo that encompasses all that your business is and says and values, you must first be able to identify and verbalize who you are, what you stand for and what makes you stand out. As Richard Lazazzera says, “Know thyself.”

Below are some of the steps from his article “8 Steps to Creating a Brand

  • Develop a name that conveys your brand and its personality.

  • Establish the purpose or mission of the brand.

  • Create a simple, easy to recognize symbol of  your brand (your logo) which is implicitly tied to your message or purpose.

  • Be consistent in every touchpoint with customers and prospects. Make sure your brand follows your established guidelines
