Content is important. But content without context is useless.

Over and over again we hear about (and espouse) the need for content. However, that content must provide value in order to build relationships and trust, which then allows you to ask for the sale.

Gary Vaynerchuk says, “Jab, jab, jab, right hook. Provide value, provide value, provide value, ask for the sale.”

In order to provide value, you must consider context.

In his article “Content is King but Context is God,” Gary outlines three tips for creating context and making sure it is clear:

  1. Respect the platform and audience

  2. Don’t interrupt the experience

  3. Be consistent and self aware
