In a recent blog post, Hubspot highlighted the ways 5 e-commerce companies are using content during the holiday season to increase sales. For example, Target used Pinterest to promote gift ideas that allowed users to “pin” them, saving ideas in one place for later purchase.

  • create and promote content such as buying guides and how-to videos.

  • post product photos throughout the year on Instagram or other social media sites.

  • publish a blog containing useful articles and information that relates back to the products being sold can help them get “found” online, demonstrate expertise and drive traffic to product pages.
