Coding without CSS

If content follows function then design follows content.

Savoir Faire’s designer always reminds us of the Bauhaus school of design creedo, “Form follows function.” This means that the way an object (or, in our case, often a website) functions or acts drives the design or the look of the object. Taking that a step further, she recommends the site pages be coded based on the content before any design templating is undertaken.  This ensures the user experience is good, makes responsive design easier and allows the right HTML tags  to be used to present the information before becoming mired in CSS and all the design possibilities.
