Building on “mobilegeddon,” Google continues to strengthen and boost its mobile-friendly algorithm.
The changes rolled out this month increase “mobile-friendly” as a ranking signal to “help our users find even more pages that are relevant and mobile-friendly.”
While this roll-out is not as significant as the algorithm update (also referred to as mobilegeddon) from April of last year, websites that are not mobile-friendly will begin to see declines in mobile search rankings and results.
Mobile-friendliness in the eyes of Google is a yes/no, on/off algorithm, with no points for being sort-of-mobile-friendly. To check if your site is mobile friendly, you can use Google’s mobile friendly test tool.
